This PRS Custom 24 10 Top, finished in custom color Abalone Smokeburst Wrap, features a truly gorgeous flame maple top that makes it hard to look at other guitars. It's one of the most balanced and symmetrical tops we've ever seen - the grain doesn't take any wild turns or jut out at bizarre angles. The body and Pattern Regular neck are mahogany, and the limited Macassar Ebony Fretboard not only looks great but is also a treat to play on. It's lighter than normal ebony but darker than rosewood. The inlays are old school Paua Birds. The 57/08 pickups are responsive and can cover any musical ground, distorted or clean. Some other features include PRS Phase III locking tuners, PRS tremolo bridge, and hybrid hardware. This is an immaculate guitar with a diverse array of tones and one of the best 10 tops we've ever seen. * A note about the 57/08 PICKUPS: Paul Reed Smith acquired one of the old pickup winding machines used by Gibson in the late 50's to wind these pickups. They are wound with the same wire that is found on some of the most coveted guitars and pickups in the world. They are absolutely outstanding in quality and tone.
