This beauty features a Tiger Eye Burst flame maple top joined to its Alder body. The even taper maple neck is very comfortable ans the satin finish is lightning fast in all positions. The rosewood fretboard features a 12" radius, dot inlays and 22 Heavy Frets. The SC1 single coil pickups sound terrific ( read below ) as does the H3 humbucker in the bridge. The Buzz Feiten tuning system ensures the best possible intonation for this guitar and the chrome vintage tremolo bridge can stand up to anything you can dish out. Other features include the Pearl White pickguard, locking tuners, 5 way switch add bridge with Split + VA booster and a fitted hard shell case. Alder is our most popular backing wood, for Drop Top Classic as its inherent lower-mid bump and pleasant upper-mid dominance rings out with familiar classic "S" timbre. Alder likes to support the lower end of S-style single coil sized pickups-helps in getting big single coil sounds. It also handles humbucker pickups well making its low-mid character known.
